Cambodian Pilot Projects

Using the FEMSE program, Prof. Li Guoqiao has achieved remarkable results eradicating the source of malaria in pilot projects conducted in Ishii Province and Hong Bu Province in Cambodia. These endemic areas of Cambodia had more than 40 thousand people suffering from malaria. In only one year, the FEMSE project reduced the malaria parasite rate by 94.5%, resulting in no malaria deaths being reported. Over the subsequent two years, these results were consolidated. This program was monitored by the World Health Organization.

Moheli, Comoros Project

In November 2007, after learning about the successful Cambodian three-year pilot projects, the Comoros Government invited the Artepharm Co. team to implement a FEMSE program on the Comoros island of Moheli in East Africa. Four months after the project was started, the plasmodium parasite rate declined by 98%, and the rate of mosquito-borne malaria parasite positives dropped to zero. One month after the project was started, the island’s malaria mortality rate dropped rapidly to zero. Over the subsequent year there were no deaths due to malaria. The project received considerable publicity and both positive and negative interest around the world.
